This limited-edition Stag Beetle design invites you to experiment with embellishment, with the added challenge of some basic goldwork (using coloured metal threads). With a little patience and care, I believe everyone can create this design, no matter their embroidery experience.
I've included all the materials you need to make my design, here's what you get*:
6" Embroidery hoop
10" square piece of cotton fabric
Black felt
2 needles - one for sewing down shapes and a slightly shorter one for sewing down beads
Gutermann black cotton thread
Selection of beads, sequins and special threads in numbered envelopes
Fully illustrated instruction booklet

What you'll also need:
• To do this kind of work you will need a seat frame or table clamp to hold your hoop, as you’ll need both hands free for many techniques. For this project a small 4” to 6” hoop is ideal. Larger hoops can be used but the fabric included may not fit.
• Embroidery scissors
• Recommended: Air-erasable pen
To keep costs low, all shipping is second class or standard, untracked and requires no signature. Please contact me if you require an upgraded service.
