This limited-edition Ghost Beetle design invites you to experiment with embellishment. Although impressive to look at, it’s actually quite a simple design that will introduce you to several ways of manipulating beads and sequins. With a little patience and care, I believe everyone can create this design, no matter their embroidery experience.
I've included all the materials you need to make my design, here's what you get*:
6" Embroidery hoop
9" square piece of cotton fabric
Eco-fi white felt
2 needles - one for sewing down shapes and a slightly shorter one for sewing down beads
Gutermann white cotton thread
Selection of beads, sequins and special threads in numbered envelopes
Fully illustrated instruction booklet
Postcard with cool bug info

What you'll also need:
• To do this kind of work you will need a seat frame or table clamp to hold your hoop, as you’ll need both hands free for many techniques. For this project a small 4” to 6” hoop is ideal. Larger hoops can be used but the fabric included may not fit.
• Embroidery scissors
• Recommended: Air-erasable pen
To keep costs low, all shipping is second class or standard, untracked and requires no signature. Please contact me if you require an upgraded service.
